I don’t own an oven at my home, just a microwave for the basic heating purpose. Everybody knows Microwave cooking is not healthy for children. So I was looking out for a perfect cooker cake recipe and when Yamuna mentioned this recipe, I requested her to write out this recipe for MyLittleMoppet 🙂

I am really happy to share this healthy recipe. I can also say this is vegetarian cake, yes we can prepare this cake without maida , egg and butter.
I always stick to homemade food for my baby. This is my baby’s favorite snack too. You can make this cake with any fruit of your choice, like your baby’s favorite fruit.
How to make Whole Wheat Eggless Cooker Cake?
Ingredients
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Milk – 1cup
- 100% Organic Jaggery powder – 1 cup
- Ghee – 3 tsp
- Dry fruits of your choice ¾ cup
- Banana – 2 small (any fruit of your choice)
- Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Method
1. Fry the wheat flour in a pan with 1 spoon of ghee.
2. When it turns brown turn off the stove. Let it cool for some time.
3. Blend together banana, jaggery, wheat flour and milk in a mixer.
4. Keep it aside.
5. Fry the nuts in ghee and mix it in the mixer of wheat flour.
6. Take pressure cooker plate grease it with ghee and transfer the mixture to the plate.
7. In a pressure cooker with little water place the plate (if needed adjust the height by placing a cup or tray ) as like we do for preheating.
8. Close the lid without the whistle.
9. Turn on the stove and keep in medium flame for 25- 35 min.
10. When the cake is cooked turn off and take the plate out.
11. When it completely cools down slice and serve with love.
I am sure your baby will love it. Even Adults can have this cooker cake as it is very healthy.

It is perfectly fine dear to raise queries. Some people keep salt ,and some do not…depends. Preheating also is optional..

Though I have a oven , have never tried any cakes so far.
But whenever I see the cooker cake recipes , I feel like trying it then and now. Of course the inspiration dies down with time too.
