Strawberries have got to be the prettiest fruit, don’t you think? The bright red color, the little heart shape and those little spots on the outside – gorgeous!! But of course, a strawberry’s beauty is within it! The mix of sweetness and tartness makes it a palate-pleaser. So it’s no wonder that it’s so popular around Valentine’s Day! In the spirit of the season, we have a brightly colored and juicy blend of strawberries and curd – a Strawberry Lassi recipe for you and the whole family.
Strawberry Lassi
Ingredients:
- 2 cup strawberries , washed, hulled and chopped roughly
- 1 cup curd (use curd which is not very sour)
- 1-2 tablespoon cane sugar / honey / Jaggery powder
Method:
1. Add all the ingredients into a blender jar.
2. Pulse 3-4 times to get a smooth and lump-free mixture.
3. Pour into a tall glass and serve right away.
Strawberry lassi can be served to babies after 8 months of age , but without adding honey or sugar. You may add a little cardamom powder to add some flavor.
Strawberries don’t just look and taste good, they are also full of nutrients and anti-oxidants. Winter is showing signs of leaving and it already feels like summer during the afternoons.
