Hi , I tried boiling the banana powder with water. It was very sour and tangy (puli in Malayalam). What can be done as my 6months baby was finding it difficult to eat.

Hi Asmi,
Banana powder will only have the natural taste as we never use artificial taste enhancers. Please add fruit purees/vegetable purees or the breast milk to naturally enhance the taste.

Hi, can fresh raw kerala banana be used to make porridge instead of powdering it? If so can that be given to 7 month old?
Dr Hemapriya says
Yes dear, but it’s okay to select the ripe banana steam well, mash and feed the baby. Raw banana might be tough to get digested when given in that way. Try giving little. If baby is comfortable, you can give it in the same way dear.
Smita Shrivastava says
Hi I bought this from you…but this tastes really bad I wonder if child will like I tried to give my 8 months baby but he refused after 2spoons.how to enhance taste.
pr says
Hi Smita,
We never add sugar or salt in our baby foods as it’s not to be given for babies below 1 year. So the products will have bland taste. Adding fruit purees, dates syrup or dates powder is the healthy way to enhance the taste (dates syrup or dates powder can be added only after 8 months).
