No Sugar Apple Butter for Kids
Ingredients
- Apple – 4
- Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
- Nutmeg – a pinch
Method
1. Wash, peel and decore the apples.
2. Chop roughly.
3. Heat a pan.
4. Add chopped apples, cinnamon and nutmeg.
5. Add little amount of water.
6. On medium flame, close and cook for 20-25 minutes until the water evaporates from apple.
7. On low flame, Open the lid and again cook for 20 minutes.
8. Turn off the flame once desired consistency is obtained.
9. Transfer content to grinding jar.
10. Blend till smooth.
11. Apple Butter is ready.
Storage Instructions: Store in an air-tight glass container for 2-3 weeks.
This recipe is suitable for babies above 8 Months of age. This healthy apple butter can be used as a spread on pancakes or waffles or rotis. It is also delicious when served with whole wheat bread toast, or stirred into oatmeal.
