For kids who love momos, I have created this wheat momos recipe that is both delicious and nutritious. Inspired by my mom and with the help of Chef Google, I bring you an exciting way to enjoy this all-time favorite snack. When my toddler, Onish, tasted it, he loved it and wanted more. It’s a treat that my husband can’t resist, and now my little one is hooked too! Give this homemade recipe a try and watch your kids savor every bite.
Whole Wheat Momos Recipe for kids
For the dough:
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp baking powder.
Knead a firm dough and keep it aside covered with a wet muslin cloth for an hour.
For the filling:
- 2tbsp ghee
- 2-3 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- 1 carrot grated
- 1/2 cup bellpeppers finely chopped(red yellow green)
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup paneer crumbled
- 1/2 cup cabbage finely chopped
- Salt
- Black pepper powder
Method
1. Start by heating ghee in a pan for the wheat momos recipe, specially crafted for kids’ taste buds.
2. Add garlic and ginger to the pan with the ghee, and sauté them for added flavor in the wheat momos recipe.
3. Next, add onions to the pan and sauté them well along with the garlic and ginger, enhancing the taste of the wheat momos recipe.
4. Add all the vegetables to the pan and cook them until they are tender, incorporating a nutritious mix.
5. Now, add paneer to the pan and cook it for a few seconds, allowing it to blend perfectly with the flavors.
6. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper powder according to taste, adding a delightful savory touch.
7. Allow the filling to cool down, ensuring it reaches a safe temperature before proceeding with the next steps.
8. Take a small ball of dough from the prepared dough for making the wheat momos, shaping it into a manageable portion for the next step in the recipe.
9. Roll the small ball of dough into a very thin chapati, ensuring it is thin enough to wrap the filling for the wheat momos, creating a delectable texture.
10. Place a portion of the filling onto the chapati and shape it like a momo, folding and sealing the edges, or use a momo mould to create perfectly shaped momos for the wheat momos recipe.
11. Repeat for the remaining dough and filling, preparing a batch of delightful wheat momos for kids.
12. Steam the momos in a prepared steamer for about 20 minutes, ensuring they are cooked to perfection in the wheat momos recipe.
13. Serve the freshly steamed momos with a dip of your choice, adding an extra layer of flavor and enjoyment.

Instructions
- For the Filling
- Add ghee in a pan.
- Add garlic and ginger.saute.Add onions and saute well.
- Add all the veggies and Cook.
- Add paneer and cook for few seconds.
- Add salt and black pepper powder accordingly.
- Let the filling cool down.
- How to cook the Momos
- Take a small ball from the dough.
- Roll it into a very thin chapati.
- Put some filling in the chapati and shape it like s momo or use a momo mould to prepare momos.
- Repeat for the rest of the dough.
- Prepare a steamer and steam the momos for about 20 minutes.
- Serve with dip of your choice
