How to make Sooji Cake / Rava Cake for Kids?
Ingredients
- 1 cup suji
- 1 cup curd
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Vanilla essence few drops
- A handful of dry fruits chopped(raisins,cashew nuts,almonds,walnuts)
- Almond silvers for garnish
Method
1. Take a bowl and thoroughly combine suji (semolina) and powdered sugar together. Ensure they are well blended for the perfect texture of your eggless sooji Cake.
2. In the same bowl, add curd and then pour in the milk. Mix the ingredients thoroughly to achieve a smooth and consistent batter for your eggless sooji cake.
3. Next, add ghee to the bowl and mix it well with the other ingredients. Make sure to incorporate the ghee thoroughly into the batter of your eggless sooji cake for enhanced flavor and moisture.
4. To enhance the texture and flavor, add baking powder and a splash of vanilla essence to the mixture. Mix everything well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
5. Now, mix all the ingredients together thoroughly to create a smooth and well-combined batter. Make sure there are no lumps and that the ingredients are evenly incorporated. This step is crucial to ensure a delicious and satisfying outcome for your cake.
6. For an added touch of flavor and texture, incorporate a handful of chopped dry fruits into the batter. This will not only enhance the taste but also provide delightful bites of goodness throughout your eggless sooji cake. Mix the dry fruits well into the batter, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
7. Grease a baking tin with a little bit of ghee or oil to prevent the cake from sticking. Once greased, pour the prepared batter into the tin, ensuring it is spread evenly. This step will help in achieving a well-shaped and evenly baked eggless sooji cake.
8. For an attractive finishing touch, sprinkle almond silvers on top of the cake, adding a crunchy texture and enhancing its visual appeal.
9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius before baking the cake.
10. Place the greased tin with the cake batter in the preheated oven and bake it at 180 degrees Celsius. Allow the cake to bake until it is cooked through and turns golden brown on top.
11. Bake until the corners of the cake slightly brown.
