How to make Edible Rakhi ?
Ingredients:
- 4-5 dried figs / Anjeer
- 2-3 candied cherries
- Satin Ribbon
- 2 tablespoon colorful sugar coated fennel seeds.
Method:
1. Take a satin ribbon of the length enough to tie it to the wrist.
2. Give a simple knot in the center of the ribbon.
3. Pass the 2 ends of the ribbon inside the central hole of the fig , such that the knot covers the hole and the two ends of the ribon hold the fig securely. Now apply slight pressure at the center of the fig and close the hole, so that the ribbon stay there.
4. Next arrange the sugar coated fennel seeds around the edges of the fig in artistic way.
5. Using a rolling pin press the fennel seeds lightly so that they stick to the fig.
6. Lastly place half of a candied cherry on the center to cover the satin ribbon knot.
7. Repeat this process for rest of the figs.
8. Our edible rakhi is ready ! Isn’t it so easy and fuss free?
