- Lemon juice – 1/2 tsp
- Honey – 1/4 tsp
Method:
1. Cut and squeeze half a lemon.
2. Add honey.
3. Heat on low flame for 10-20 seconds.
4. One teaspoon of lemon and honey syrup can be given for instant cough relief in kids.
Remedy 2 – Tulsi water
Ingredients:
- Tulsi leaves (washed and dried) – 5 numbers
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Water – 2 cups
Method
1. In a pan add tulsi leaves, jeera and water.
2. Bring it to boil.
3. Reduce to low flame and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Strain and serve warm.
5. Warm water of approx. 1/4 cup can be given for relieving cold, cough, sore throat in kids.
Remedy 3 – Orange & honey juice
Ingredients:
- Orange (small) – 1
- Honey – 1/4 tsp
Method:
1. Peel and deseed the orange.
2. Blend well.
3. Add 1/2 cup of water and blend well.
4. Strain the mixture.
5. Add honey and mix well.
6. Approximately 4 Ounces/ 120 ml in a day can be given as a cold and cough remedy.

Your point is true and is completely acceptable. Honey is not heated here, it is warmed. It can also be mixed and fed altogether without warming.
