Poha is perfect to provide energy and it’s also rich in iron. It is made more rich and nutritious by adding coconut milk, dates powder and dry fruits powder. The filling nature of the kheer will ensure that your baby stays full and happy to enjoy everything going on around him!
Carrot Poha Kheer for babies
Ingredients:
- Aval [Poha, Flattened rice] –3 tbsp.
- Carrot- ¼ cup [finely grated]
- Coconut Milk- 1 ½ cup
- Dates powder – ¼ cup
- Dry fruits powder – 1 tbsp.
- Ghee – 2 tbsp.
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

Method:
1. Heat a pan, add ghee to it.
2. Add poha and saute for 2 minutes.
3. Add grated carrot and saute for 2 minutes.
4. Add coconut milk little by little.
5. Mix well till the mixture thicken.
6. Add dates powder.
7. Add dry fruits powder.
8. And then add cardamom powder.
9. Stir well until the mixture becomes creamy.
10. Serve warm or cold.
This recipe is suitable for babies over 8 Months and is perfectly safe as we haven’t used any sugar, preservatives or colors. You can also make this work for babies below 8 months by avoiding dates powder and dry fruits powder.
