Carrot Cheese Paratha Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 carrot grated
- 1/2 cube cheese grated
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder
- 1/2 tomato grated
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp carrom seeds
- Ghee to fry the paratha
Method
-
Begin the preparation of the carrot cheese paratha recipe by kneading a smooth and pliable dough using whole wheat flour.
- Heat a pan and add a drizzle of oil, followed by carom seeds (also known as ajwain).
- Once the carom seeds start to splutter, add the grated tomato to the pan.
- Allow the grated tomato to cook in the pan, stirring occasionally, until it becomes soft and releases its juices.
- Now, it’s time to add the star of the dish – the grated carrot! Sprinkle some salt and a pinch of black pepper powder over the grated carrot and mix it well with the cooked tomato.
- Cook the carrot and cheese paratha until the moisture from the grated carrot evaporates, ensuring that the filling becomes dry and well-cooked. This will help in enhancing the flavors and ensuring a firm texture for the paratha.
- Allow the cooked carrot and cheese filling to cool down before proceeding to the next step. This will ensure that the filling is easier to handle and won’t affect the texture of the paratha dough.
- Take a small portion of the dough and using a rolling pin, roll it out into a thin, round shape.
- Place a small portion of the cooled carrot and cheese filling onto the rolled chapati, spreading it evenly across the surface, leaving some space around the edges.
- Put some cheese on it.
- Cover from all sides and roll again.
- Cook the parantha on a hot tawa with ghee.
Salt should be added accordingly as cheese also has some amount if salt.

Hi Lavanya,
Try including veggies in curd initially. You can make thadka with veggies and then add curd. Also try giving lots of finger foods dear. Self feeding is most important for getting interest on foods.
