Carrot Apple Soup with Potatoes recipe is a yummy fusion of nutrient rich veggies and fruit. It’s packed with health benefits and hence the best food for babies.
Once you have introduced fruits and vegetables separately to your baby, you can combine 2-3 fruits and veggies in different combinations and feed her as stage 2 foods. Here I have made a healthy wholesome soup with carrot, apple and potatoes. I have steamed the vegetables in a steamer to make this soup. It is mildly sweet in taste and has an appealing orange color.
Carrot Apple Soup with Potatoes
Ingredients:
- Carrot – 1/4 bowl peeled and diced
- Potato – 1/4 bowl peeled and diced
- Apple – 1/4 bowl peeled and diced
- Cinnamon powder – a pinch
Method:
- Add water to the steamer. Place potato and carrot pieces into the steamer basket. Cover and steam for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add the diced apple pieces to the same steamer basket. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes or until everything is cooked well.
- Allow the steamed veggies to cool down before blending them to a soupy puree consistency.
- Add cinnamon powder while serving the puree to your baby.
This soup is more or less like a puree and is suitable for babies above 8 months of age. I have added a pinch of cinnamon to this soup to make it flavorful.
