This Beetroot Laddu recipe is a Sugar Free Dessert for Babies and toddlers, made with simple, basic and nutritious ingredients that are pantry staples.
Ever since the lockdown began, people have begun experimenting in the kitchen and there have been some delicious results. Even people who never stepped foot in the kitchen earlier have now become experts at julienning or getting the perfect fudginess in brownies.
Since we knew that all the Moms and Dads following us on Facebook may be having some yummy recipes in their repertoire now, we decided to have a lockdown recipe contest. Of course, it wasn’t just any recipe contest – the participants had to keep it under 5 ingredients, and were not allowed to use any refined or processed ingredients.
The winning entry was a simple, nutritious and delicious Beetroot Laddu recipe by Naga Sairam. We absolutely loved this recipe for its sheer simplicity and ingenuity – plus it’s a great way to use beetroots! Beetroots are loaded with vitamins and minerals that lower the risk of anemia, promote digestion, boost immunity and also detox the body. Fussy eaters may reject beetroot in traditional vegetable dishes, but these laddus are the perfect way to work around that!
