Give your baby the nutrients of traditional ingredients like makhana (lotus seeds) and nendran (Kerala Banana) in this Banana Makhana Cereal Porridge for babies!
When I was a new Mom, I thought that commercial baby foods were a boon for modern Moms like me. All you need to do is add water and mix – how easy! It was only later that I realized that these were actually packed with preservatives and all kinds of added flavors – that ease came at a very high cost!
That’s when I turned to our traditional baby foods. Truth be told, nothing can beat the goodness and nutrition of these! Although making every single thing from scratch is time consuming, it’s worth our baby’s health.
However, when you get that nutrition along with the convenience of baby food, we have a winner! And today’s banana makhana cereal porridge for babies over six months is just like that, combining traditional ingredients like makhana (lotus seeds) and nendran (Kerala Banana) in one convenient format!

Raw Kerala bananas are high in calories, making this an excellent option to help babies gain a healthy weight. The bananas are also rich in Vitamin C, which helps to build immunity. Along with the protein, magnesium, potassium and phosphorous from makhana, this is a complete balanced meal for your little one!
