Apricots are one of the healthiest foods that can be given to children. They are loaded with nutrients and energy and this apricot jam recipe can be given to children during fever, which helps them regain their strength and immunity.

Apricot Jam Recipe for Children
Ingredients
- 500 gms, Dried apricots
- 1 apple
- ¼ tsp, Lemon juice
- ¼ tsp, cinnamon powder
- Almonds extracted from the apricot seeds, cut into silvers
Method
- Deseed the apricots and wash them. Soak them in enough water for 3-4 hrs
- Once the apricots swell, mash them well using a fork.
- Cook on a slow flame with the water& apple continuously stirring the mixture.
- Once the mixture begins to leave the sides of the vessel, remove from the flame and add the almonds
- Add ¼ tsp of fresh lemon juice and cinnamon powder. Mix well and cool.
- Garnish with almond slivers and serve warm or cooled
- Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for further use.
