Pongal is a popular dish that is cooked specially during the south Indian festival of the same name. It’s a rice dish and mildly spiced, and also has a sweet version – sweet Pongal! Although sweet, sweet Pongal is much too healthy to qualify as dessert! Besides rice, it also has moong dal and ghee, healthy ingredients for growing kids, making it a perfect option this Dussehra!
