Gnocchi Pizza are various thick,soft dough dumplings that may be made from semolina,ordinary wheat flour,egg, cheese , potato breadcrumbs, or similar ingredients.
It is an Italian Recipe.
Here I am presenting to you is this Italian dish with an Indian twist.Its a healthier option than eating pizza coz it has no maida and full of goodness of vegetables.
How to make Gnocchi Pizza with Indian Twist?
Ingredients for the gnocchi base
- 1 cup suji
- 3 cups warm water
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp cunin seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder
Ingredients for the Filling
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tomato chopped deseeded
- 1 onion sliced.
- 1 cup bellpeppers( red yellow green) juliens
- 1/2 cup boiled corns
- Salt
- Black pepper powder
- 1 tsp basil herb.
( you can also add mushrooms and carrots or other veges of your choice.) - 1 cube grated cheese.
Method
1. Dry roast suji and keep aside.
2. In a pan add oil, add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
3. Now add coriander and saute.
4. Add suji,salt and black pepper powder.
5. Now add water and stir it continously on low flame till you get a thickdough.
6. Keep it aside.
7. Grease a borosil dish and spread this dough in it evenly.
8.In a pan heat butter and oil.
9.Saute onions till light pink.
10. Add tomatoes and saute.
11. Add bellpeppers and corn.saute them well and all the seasonings.
12. Spread this filling on the suji base.
13. Add grated cheese on it.
14. Grill it in an oven till the cheese melts.
15. Garnish with basil leaves.
Serve hot.
An excellent dinner when your kiddo is not in a mood to eat simple daal chapati.
