A super healthy rice recipe which is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants! Our cabbage rice for babies has rice and cabbage in equal amounts, which makes it energy rich and filling for tiny tummies. Cabbages are loaded with several nutrients. It’s rich in fiber and hence good to treat constipation. Adding cabbage with rice makes it easily acceptable by the babies who are bored of regular rice varieties. We have added ghee instead of oil to make it even more healthier and yummier.
Cabbage Rice for Babies
Ingredients:
- Rice – 2 Tbsp
- Cabbage – 2 Tbsp
- Onion – 1 Tbsp
- Garlic – 1 clove chopped
- Jeera powder – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 2 tsp
Method:
1. Heat ghee in a cooker.
2. Add garlic, onion and saute.
3. Add Cabbage and saute.
4. Mix jeera Powder.
5. Add rice.
6. Add 1 cup of water.
7. Pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
8. Mash & Serve.
This recipe is suitable for babies above 8 months. Any rice variety can be used in the recipe as per the baby’s preference. Adding garlic and jeera makes it easily digestible. It’s also good for improving immunity. Turmeric can also be added if you wish to add a bit of color to the rice. For babies above one year, salt can be added in this recipe.
