- 4 slices of sandwich bread
- 3 medium sized potatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder (adjust according to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- breadcrumbs (optional)
- salt to taste
- oil
Method
1. To kickstart your easy bread roll recipe, begin by boiling a potato until it’s tender, then peel and mash it to perfection. This step sets the foundation for creating the delicious filling that will make your bread rolls absolutely irresistible.
2. Moving on to the next step of your easy bread roll recipe, grab a wok or kadai and heat a tablespoon of oil in it. Once the oil is nice and hot, it’s time to infuse some flavor by tempering the mustard seeds. The sizzling sound and aromatic fragrance will add a delightful touch to your bread roll filling, elevating the overall taste experience.
3. For the next step of the easy bread roll recipe, add the chopped onions to the wok and fry them until they become transparent. This will infuse the filling with a delightful flavor and bring out the natural sweetness of the onions.
4. Add the ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell is gone.
5. Add the mashed potato, the spice powders and salt. Stir to mix well on a low flame for 2 min, then turn off the gas.
6. Cut the sides of the bread and immerse each slice in water for just a second. Squeeze out the water by pressing the bread in between your palms.
7. Place the potato filling inside the bread and cover the filling completely.
8. If you like, dip the filled bread in egg and roll over breadcrumbs to coat all over for a crunchier outside.
9. Lastly, deep fry the rolls on medium heat until they turn golden brown. Once done, drain them on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil. This step ensures that your easy bread roll recipe results in perfectly crispy and delicious rolls. Now, it’s time to indulge in these mouthwatering treats!

can it be baked ?

Make small flat balls instead of oblong shape and bake in oven or air fryer. To bake them in oven, brush the flattened rolls with oil and bake them in preheated oven ( 200ºc (400ºf) for 15-20 minutes), then turn the rolls , brush them with oil and bake for another 10 minutes or until they become crisp and golden brown.
