Hi Dr,
My daughter has just turned 10 months old however I still have to make her food very mashed as well as running else she makes faces as if she will throw up and at times she actually throws up. Every article I read here indicates that by this age the baby should start with finger foods / less mashed food.
Please suggest how do I make her start eating less mashed / finger food.
Thanks

Hi Hema, i have been making sooji porridge for my 8 month old with formula. Why do you not recommend cooking with formula?

Hi Binaifer, Since the formula is already made with hot water, it would have dissolved in hot water and again cooking it with sooji will cause the molecular change in the formula which will not be nutritious for baby

Rakhee says
Hi Hema… I have tried all your porridge recipes. I cook the porridges with apple for sweetness. I even prepared the sathu maavu powder and i cook it with apple. My son was eating it quite well. But now he has suddenly started refusing to eat. He is 10 months old and has started teething now. He is taking only 2 spoonfuls of porridges and then he is spitting out no matter how much ever we force him. I am getting worried. Please help me try something which will be a change for him.
Dr Hemapriya says
He is bored of porridges Rakhee, give him fingerfoods, pancakes, cheelas etc. Stop porridges for a week and give only finger foods then he will start wanting the comfort of porridges, then the next week alternate between the both.
