Raw Kerala Banana Halwa Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 heaped tbsp Raw Kerala Banana Powder
- 1/4 cup (or according to taste) Jaggery Syrup (Use 100% Organic Jaggery)
- 1 tsp Ghee for the halwa and 2 tsp for the nuts
- 2 tsp mixed nuts (Cashew nuts and Almonds)
- 1 big pinch Cardamom Powder
Method:
1. Cook the Raw Kerala Banana Powder with jaggery syrup, whisking so that it’s smooth. Add ghee and stir till it’s completely incorporated. Meanwhile, fry the nuts in ghee.
2. Continue to cook on a low flame. As the mixture starts thickening, stir in the nuts & cardamom powder.
3. When the halwa is sufficiently thick, spread it on a flat plate and let it cool. Once set, cut it into squares. If you like you can garnish with a few strands of saffron before leaving it to set.
