Before jumping right into the delicious Sathu Maavu Urundai, let’s take a moment to explore the incredible benefits of Millet Sathu Maavu for babies. Ever since we started our baby food store, one item that has been constantly in demand are our health mixes – Sathumaavu, Sprouted Sathumaavu and Millet Sathumaavu. On one occasion, we ran out of stock and there was a barrage of emails from Moms asking when it would be back!
Our Moms are smart; they know exactly why Millet Sathu maavu is so good for their babies. Made with over 12 natural ingredients, here are just some of the reasons Millet Sathu maavu is a superfood for babies:
- It’s an excellent weight gaining food for babies
- It’s full of carbohydrates, proteins, good fats, vitamins and minerals
- Good source of dietary fiber & carbohydrate

Making the sathu maavu mix on your own is obviously the safest option, but it requires a good deal of roasting and grinding, and can take a lot of time. The best solution then is to get homemade, hygienically prepared and preservative-free millet sathu maavu delivered at your doorstep, and this is possible when you order from Little Moppet Foods.
But baby food isn’t all that you can make with sathu maavu; you can use it in a variety of dishes. We’ve already featured sprouted Sathu maavu Cutlets, and today we’re going to show you how you can make Millet Sathu maavu Laddus – yummy, nutritious and easy laddus! I saw it on Sharmis Passions and have wanted to try them ever since; and trust me, they turned out delicious!
